Venison the Healthy Option

Venison is recognised as one of the most nutritious of all red meats and contains less saturated fats than skinless chicken. Prepared and cooked in much the same way as beef, the lack of sugar and salt make it an excellent source of healthy protein, potassium, phosphorous, riboflavin, and niacin as well as omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins B6 and B12.

As deer feed on vegetation and grass rather than high-energy cereals, venison is high in polyunsaturated fat and is an excellent source of iron delivering proportionally more than any other domestic meat, and much more than vegetables.

In the near future, with the increase in supply of deer, venison will certainly become more popular and best of all it is absolutely delicious!
